Who Am I

My name is Cindy Stites. I am a native Hoosier, born and raised in west central Indiana. I loved being outdoors from an incredibly early age, whether that meant playing in the woods with my brother, fishing with my dad, or just riding my bike or my horse around the yard. 

It wasn’t until my mid-thirties that I realized that outdoors was so much more than a place to recreate, I discovered that it was also a place to heal, to grow, and to discover my true self. I am a hunter, an angler, a conservationist, and a woman. The outdoors is as much a part of me as the color of my eyes or the dimples on my face. For many, a place like that would be a place they would want to keep all to themselves, a refuge of sorts. But for me, knowing what I know now, and experiencing the wonder and utter joy of what it means to truly immerse myself in nature, I want to share it with anyone who is interested.
